My family and I went to Disney last year. We had decided to get a Fastpass for Test Track, but as we went over to it, a Disney employee stopped us. My first thought was that the Fastpass machines were broken, but I couldn’t have been further off. The man asked us how we would like to skip the whole line and just ride Test Track right away. Well of course we wanted to! He explained that as a part of the “Year of a Million Dreams”, we had just been selected as the family of the hour at Test Track. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t believe it until he took us around through the exit, into a hallway I’d never seen. He explained that we were in the VIP entrance, the same entrance any important people who came to Disney used. We didn’t just get on the ride quickly; we got a mini tour as well. He showed us one of the computers that monitors the ride and explained how everything worked. Then he let us jump the whole line and get right on. We even got to stay on a second time! After the rides, we received a special certificate and some Fastpasses that were good for anytime and any ride. We used some of them to ride Soarin, but we gave the others to another family, to pass on the magic. The whole experience was truly a Disney dream come true.
